If you are in the mood for a 1960s flashback, drop by at this neighborhood pub in the Hawthorne District. This hippie pub is the oldest McMenamins, been in operation since 1983. The psychedelic artwork and Grateful Dead atmosphere will entertain you and your friends for hours. Enjoy a game of pool or play one of the many supplied board games. Sit upstairs in the little balcony for a bird's eye view of the action. Order a pint of Hammerhead or other brews and enjoy daily specials such as Wilbur’s Jumbo Deluxe.

They have good food and drinks from the bar. Heard employees make some of the art that is hanging up.
The OG McMenamins of over 60 franchise locations, and you can see it by the sheer amount of FLAVOR decorated in each square inch of wall space. Add to that a staff that's upbeat as the displays, and you can experience why McMenamins is a hulking success.
The tarter tots Are to Die For
Had a drink and pretzels and fondue. Excellent service and fun.
The only downside is the prices they keep going up every year slowly causing people that live in Portland to not be able to afford to go to McMenamins. Prices have gone up so much of the last five years I understand you need to make a profit but don’t forget your local customers have been loyal to you for years.
First time here and I most definitely will be back
