I was visiting family in Buford on 10/15/2016 and was invited to dinner at Bare Bones Steakhouse. We had appetizers, the bone-in New York strip steak and blackberry cobbler for desert, and I must say it was, no doubt, the best food and service I have ever received in a restaurant anywhere.
Great meal! We order the spinach artichoke dip, and that was not to our liking. The spinach was long and stringy mixed with heavy cheese I could barley chew it. We order speciality drinks which were great. We had the porterhouse for 2 and grits with cheese. Both were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious! We told our waiter about the spinach dip and after our meal she brought us a complementary cheesecake which was delicious as well. Overall service and food were fantastic! We will be back!
On point great steaks great atmosphere. Bartenders where the best. Was in the wine industry for the first part of my life owned a wine bar in California. Dined at a lot of high end steak houses. This had a home town feel great steaks great sides. Not one things I would change about this place. For sure as good as my favorite place Mckendricks in Atlanta. Ruth Chris who?
My husband and I ate here on a date night. Make a reservation as they were crowded when we arrived. Our server was very nice and gave great recommendations. We ordered the onion rings as an appetizer and the 16oz Prime New York Strip with Bacon Mac and Cheese as our meal. Everything was delicious. The steak was big enough for us to share. The sides are a la cart and large enough for two people. We had a great time. My only complaint was that our appetizer and meal came out at the same time. . How much it saddened me to leave this review. I hope this will help some looking to take out your wife on a date night. First the greeter was great! We were immediately seated appetizer came out almost immediately! Mixed drink was good. Our server was great at his script for the specials we took the upgaded ($55 dollar Prime something steak.) Dang! Seems like every time I come here the steaks get better. Absolutely my favorite place for steak.
Didn't eat there just dropped off kiddos for homecoming meal and was rudely told that they were to leave at least a 20 percent tip because their wait staff wasn't getting tipped enough , so guess I will never eat there , but daughter said good food so their bill was $50 so I left them a $20 tip hope that was enough , will never be back
Was there twice this week . Once for an adult birthday party and once with my two teen and one 10 year old child . The staff handled both with ease . The food was great . I'll be back ...
