We pride ourselves in creating a traditional authentic Tapas Bar atmosphere. This includes our warm decor and the traditional hanging of Serrano hams and dried bacalaos. Yum! My mother and I ate here on July 4 weekend. Everything we ordered was delicious, albeit in such large portions we had way too much food (definitely not "tapas" sizes).
If you like seeing your server in less less than 40 mins, combative attitude, getting the wrong, cold, soggy food over and over again on dirty dishes this might be the one and only place for you.
New Year's Eve nightmare – I have to say that I have been to the restaurant a few times and although it isnt at the top of my list on favorite restaurnants, I have never had a problem but on NYE I came in and it was about 11:15p or so. This is a fun restaurant if you're wanting something different from the usual. As everyone said, they serve tapas, or small plates. This makes it fun because you can try several different things without being overwhelmed with quantity. My boyfriend and I went for dinner last night, and ended up getting about 5 small plates and 1 dessert. We were both stuffed and everything was delicious. 2 for Tuesdays - what a deal – I had a great experience on a Tuesday night where they offer dinner for 2 people for 30 bucks! They serve Tapas - so it is a different kind of dining experience. Really laid back and fun!
New Year's Eve was hoppin'! – My wife, a friend, and I went here for New Year's Eve. We had made reservations, and thank goodness we did because it was FULL! The revelers, the tapas, and the sangria made for a great precursor to ringing in the New Year. Definitely recommend the place. Perfect for a date, a night out with friends, or just casual dining. Have a Party here! We hung out at the bar with some friends visiting from Saint Louis. Thought we had found a jewel until they told us They Also Have A BARCELONA there! Great fun with the manager and the bartenders, even the Chef (DAVID?) came out with some free apps after he found out we had friends in from STL. Great Sangria, Lively Music, Nice Staff, GREAT FOOD! We will be back a lot.
We go out with a group of 10-12 every month and it was BARCELONA's turn last weekend. Very interesting concept, small plates to share, lots of vibrant colors, great food, servers and bartenders all friendly and enthusiastic! We all enjoyed it, despite the 30 minute wait to seat us (with reservations) but the manager made up for it with some "Pinxos" little bites at the bar while we were waiting. Great Place to take a group of friends.
