1105pm: As someone that works in healthcare, I am fully aware of the demands on healthcare systems. However, what I experienced in the ER with my 91 year old grandfather was absolutely ridiculous. To come into an ER at 3pm (sent by their own urgent care) and have it be 11pm and still not have results on basic labs and 2 CT scans is absurd. Waiting one hour in a stretcher holding area for a CT scan to then wait more than a hour for a radiologist to result that CT scan on an ER patient is unacceptable. I’ve been in this hospital numerous times & have had good & bad experiences. Most of the bad experiences have been with the ER department. The wait is ridiculous, South Miami Hospital is only a short drive away and the wait & service was WAY better!
