This has been the most painful experience in home buying anyone can ever have. The loan officer had no clue about what he was doing. Early in the process he repeatedly asked my accountant for various documents that were irrelevant to this situation. She advised me to get someone else because he didn't know what he was doing. I was so far into the process that I thought it would have been a further setback to start over with another lender. Well given the length of time this took I could have started over with another lender ... read more

I honestly have never experienced the amount of incompetence and failure to do one's job as i did working with the loan officers with this bank. I have been an agent for many years and the level of service that was displayed to my clients was incomprehensible. They dropped the ball on more than one occasion. I will not refer anyone to this branch of Bank of England ever again. Their loan officer feels that a three hour work day and letting things slide for days and weeks is allowable. I was a party to a transaction involving this bank. It was the worst experience. We were notified at 1:45 p.m. the day before we were scheduled to close on the sell of my home that we were not closing the following day because the loan originator resigned, and the person who took over his files was looking over my buyer's file and noticed that there were conditions that needed to be met. This transaction had a domino affect on everyone involved. Despite being told almost daily that they had everything they needed, they conti... read more

Real Estate. We were asked to go ahead with the appraisal and inspection, and had to put down earnest money, and we were given a closing date of Thanksgiving week. After spending $1300 for the appraisal, inspection and earnest money, after signing 4 extensions to the contract, after our loan represen... read more

We went with Bank of England when we were buying our first house, during the first week or two of the process we were very happy with them. After that, everything went south. We were working with Jason, getting him to return our phone calls was almost impossible, I would have to call numerous times a day for a few days before I would hear back from him. When he responded to emails, he would never give you a flat answer and would flat out ignore any question that required a flat answer. Every time either my realtor or I would... read more
