This was the worst process ever possible dealing with this lender. They kept getting my stuff wrong down to even my closing documents. It started out that I could be approved for a usda loan then when I thought I had found the property for me...all of a sudden I didn't qualify anymore ??. Then I was approved for conventional loans...same story... ended up fha ...which I didn't want and the process that should have taken 30 days to double the time to close! Everyone that had to deal with this lender was stressed and disappoin... read more

Zero stars. Upon inquiring with BOE we were told to simply "send them an address" when we found a home we wanted. We were putting over half down in cash on this home, everytime we recieved a document the loan amount was wrong. And every time I contacted the loan officer and was told that is "was just an estimate" and would be fixed. I relayed this through emails, calls and texts. Every time he assured me the amount would be fixed prior to closing. Our closing was pushed back a total of 4 times due to the underwriter. We were... read more

BOE is the worst company EVER. Pre-approved, found a house, appraisal in, all needed documents in, closing date set. Crickets. 2 days before closing neither I or title company has been sent final settlement sheet. Day of closing get a call saying my loan is still clean, but underwriter won't approve property. DAY OF THEY TELL ME THIS. Then they tell me I can find another property. I'm moving across country and have already hired movers. The underwriter knew about what they saw as an issue weeks ahead, but I find out day of c... read more

As a real estate professional for over 25 years, my experience in representing a seller who accepted a purchase contract from a buyer using Bank of England mortgage has been the absolute worst experience of my career. This lender has terrible management, and bad business practices. They forced an excessive rate lock extension fee on the buyer for a 7 day delay in closing even though the delay was solely on the part of the Bank. When questioned why the buyer or seller would have to pay this fee, the bank said it was not their... read more

Worst mortgage bank lender ever: They still have the audacity to send us emails requesting our mortgage reviews with your careless waste of time home buying Bank of England turned sour by your ineptitude and callous bank mortgage services? We're a family of values, hard work and professionals that were unfortunately dealing with an unprofessional person that didn't care about working and having the patience in our home mortgage application. We don't need your Bank's worst services read from the BBB reviews and mostly complai... read more

I am not going to put the loan officer on blast, I don’t feel that is professional. However, I did provide all necessary documentation to this person and waited a few days before contacting them and asking what was going on… zero communication. They sort of laughed when I told them I felt like I was being left in the dark and they said “they were busy closing up on a condo” and they would call me back the next day to go over things. Next day rolls around, no phone call. Mind you, this person has access to A LOT of personal i... read more

We were provided and email 'clear to close'from this bank, traveled from out of state to close and this lender had not sent the closing package to the attorney. We incurred hundreds of dollars in additonal hotel nights due to their mistake. When closing documents came in again, they again got the numbers wromng. After numerous people, including realtors emailing and calling to get the documents correct, BoE charged us additonal points. We have now had to reschedule closing 3 times. We do NOT recommend this company.

These people get zero stars. This is the WORST company to ever work with. We went through everything stated in these previous reviews. This company is the same all around. I seriously regret ever being referred to them. We worked with Maria Klima and Celeste Serrano, and I wish I had read reviews before working with them. We were working with them for a year & 3 months on a new build in a different state than we were living in. During this time these people pulled our credit 4-5 times. They ghosted us for about 4 months. The... read more
