Bank of America essentially stole $1400. They set up my account incorrectly. It was supposed to link to another so that any overdrafts would not incur an overdraft fee, but would take from another account (I was assured this was the case). I spent freely, resting assured that I had plenty of funds in that other account and made many small charges without concern. I have been trying to close a checking for almost a month. All I experience is getting transferred to different people. Has anyone else have this problem and how do you resolve it?
Matt Ellet is a crook right along with anybody else who works there. Stay away from this institution and their partners in. What they do to people should be criminal.
Customer service is invisible/inaccessible. Have been trying all day to get to speak with a customer service representative by phone or online and it has been impossible. Get with the program Bank of America, like many other major banks i.e. HSBC, Chase etc. that make it easy for the customer to have access to service especially when there are problems in the account.
