I can't imagine what training they give their staff, but I was listening as the receptionist became hostile and hung up on what I can only assume is now an ex-client whose puppy had been bitten in their office. And they had charged them to treat the wound after taking the side of the woman whose dog had done the biting. Her attitude, her behavior, and her actions were truly deplorable. I've been taking my rescue lab here for about 5 years. I love the vets and the front room staff. They are sensitive to financial issues, send reminders about vaccinations, prescribe over the phone without a visit.
Dr Wilhem was fantastic, as were both receptionists. They took as much time as we needed and have given us a followup call already. It was the cheapest in our area for a visit and after buying the insurance plan, we know we'll be getting a good deal in future
I have my dog on the Banfield Health insurance plan. I took my dog in for a routine yearly check-up and shots. She was in great health and they called me to pick her up. I was sick and had my husband go get her. She was brought out from the back in the nurses arms. She handed her to my husband and said she was a little sore from the shots and to carry her. I myself would have not left the store since she HAS NEVER been sore from shots and has had these same ones for many years. When they get home and he puts her on the floor... read more
Loved the doctors
We recently moved back to SF from Boston and had to find a new local vet. We were really impressed with Dr. Kim. She's very knowledgeable about different breeds and explained to us her theory on vaccinating dogs which I really appreciated. Our old vet definitely over vaccinated and over medicated and I appreciated that Dr. Kim was honest about what our dog needed even if it meant our bill was a bit lower because of it.
Staff has been very accommodating and Dr. Melco is the best!
