Not very happy with using this Pet Hospital as they never have appointment time available when I need it. They tell me that I can drop my pets off and they will look at them when they have a chance. First of all I am NOT going to leave my pet somewhere all day with total strangers and locked up in a cage and me driving around Traverse City all day trying to think of what to do, Second, if someone is going to look at or do anything with my pet I want to be there to see the treatment they are getting. The staff was really nice, BUT we ended up paying for more than was necessary. Our dog had a UTI and we took her there to be treated because it was a sunday and our normal vet was not open ended up paying almost 200 dollars for them to tell us she did not have a UTI when the paper results stated otherwise they just made us do unnecessary tests and we didn't get any answers except to bring her back for more bloodwork in a week. My dog was suffering from fleas. I dropped him off for the day, and they worked their magic. They also gave me really good advice on how to get them out of our home. He's SO much better now and so is our home. Awesome job!
Every time I have brought a pet into Banfield, I have left extremely satisfied with the service they received.
We recently moved to the area and my dog, Rocky, had some issues with his front leg. I called and they told me I could drop Rocky off for the day while I was at work to get looked at when they had the time since there was no true available appointment that day. I received a phone call from Dr Reynolds who was very kind and caring. She talked with me about his issues and explained what I needed to do at home to help him get better. My wife waited for 3 1/2 hours yesterday and a person approached her and said they were sorry but no one could see our dog Cookie...Really? Insulting, unprofessional, and consistently Big Box service. We only started going there because it was closer to our home when my daughter got her dog 1 1/2 years ago. Cherry Bend Vets got us in with a simple phone call and we have dealt with them for 20 years. Goodbye Banfield. P.S. My 8 year old said she will never patronize you again either.
They will let your pet die!!! All they care about is money. If I could give a review and give zero stars i would! Please go somewhere else help your pet and let this place go out of business!!!
I took my chinchilla here (rare and unique for the area), they were kind of familiar with the animal and they did an awesome job to help my little boy out! He is doing awesome now thanks to all of their help & wonderful service to the both of us! Banfield pwt hospital will definitely be where I take my pets from now on!
