Great bedside manner AND knowledgable! – The staff at Balcones was great with my dog. The vets are extremely thorough in their explanations. They are fantastic and educated me about PREVENTATIVE care so that I won't have to visit them too often!!! Also, the office was clean and neat which prevented my dog from getting too distracted by all the smells of dog hair, dirt, etc!

Very insightful, compassionate vets – Have been to many vets in my time and these folks are the best hands down. Never any worry when I leave my pets with them. They do an extremely thorough job with a cost conscious attitude. Will stay with this clinic from here on out.

HORRIBLE SURGICAL EXPERIENCE – New to town I took our 7 month old Lab into be neutered. Neither before nor after the surgery did I see either of the vetrinarians. Having just adopted this dog from someone who was mistreating it I also wanted them to check him out and verify shot records but was just brushed off and given little recognition that I even knew what I was asking about. THE BEST VETS IN TOWN!! – Father and son veterinarians (Dr. James Wood and Dr. Jason Wood). Both are very approachable, compassionate, and really care about my pets. They also don't gouge you for all you're worth either. When my cat was sick, Dr. Jason Wood gave me his home phone number to call anytime after hours in case I had a problem at home. I would drive 200 miles to see these guys. A++++

Great place! – I've used them for over 10 years. They are very friendly and helpful. Dr. Wood explains why something is happening with the animal. I wouldn't even consider changing vets.
