Excellent vetrinary/customer service care – I couldn't have been more pleased I commute into Austin everyday from Lexington, they wil have someone there to take your precious bundle of joy early (7am) and you can pick up afternoon.... they take the time to call & explain the situation to you in a kind/caring / matter of fact approach (similar to here is the problem, & here's solution A, B or C).... they make both you & your pet feel welcomed, safe and the exude confidence/kindness. Thankyou. Sydney
Best vet in town!!! – I took my lab, Sprocket to Dr. Woods after a disaster of an experience at Hill Country Vet in Cedar Park. Dr. Woods was recommended to me by SO many people, I just had to go. As busy as he is, the service couldn't be better. He always calls me personally and explains everything in a perfect manner. He has the most fair prices in town, and often offers home remedies when money is tight. What a good, old fashioned guy, and great business. I'll never take my pets anywhere else! -Chasity and Sprocket
Dr Woods is the Best! – My kitty had deveoped a pretty scarry looking eye infection and since I had only used Austin Animal Trustees for shots and spaying I did not have a vet. I called around near my home and found that the vets were either booked up or a bit snooty to me. I refuse to pay people to be rude to me so I kept dialing the phone until I found Dr Wood's clinic. The woman who answered the phone was friendly and was able to schedule an appointment for Sophie right away. Dr Woods checked out her eye and provided the ... read more
Best Vet ever! – After being taken to the cleaners by Wells Branch Pet and Bird clinic over our dog's re-occurring skin infection, as a last desperate attempt to save his life we came to get a second opinion from Doctor Woods. Within the first few minutes of the visit, doctor Woods knew it was a thyroid problem, and ordered a T-4 test. We had spent thousands of dollars at the previous vet, and they never even thought to check the thyroid. They had finally told us it was an auto-immune disease and there was nothing more that ... read more
Mixed review – I visited Balcones Animal Hospital with one of my pets, as I am in the market for a new vet. After reading the great reviews here, I decided to give it a try. I made the appointment easily, but wondered why I was not asked for my phone number (what if the appt needed to be cancelled by the office for some reason?). The hospital itself is a bit worn indeed. But, that did not deter me, as I'd rather have a great vet with a heavily used office than a so-so vet in a state of the art office. The front desk lady was... read more
Best Vet Anywhere – I don't know why anyone would take their animal anywhere else. It is nice to find a vet that actually cares more about your animal than selling you stuff you don't need. Everyone there was extremly nice and helpful. It was also very affordable. I am so glad I found this place!
Best Vet I have been to – My puppy had a hernia at 4 months. I took it to the vet on greystone drive. They did it for 150 with a spay. 1 month later she has a hernia again. They tell me that she is having reactions to the internal stiches so they have to do it again. They quote me 300?!?!? Then they feel sorry for me so they drop the price to 150. HA! I call dr. woods he tells me over the phone we will perform the surgery for 100 dollars with different type of stiches. Great. He does the surgery. 4 months later its back agai... read more
The BEST – I have taken my cat to three different vets for a condition, and Doc Woods Jr. was the first vet to take the problem seriously. It took a while to get her better, but that's only because the doctor wouldn't quit. Various treatments were undertaken to get to the problem, and it didn't break the bank, either. I received personal attention from the doctor every time I called, and will continue to drive over 20 miles each direction just to see Dr. Jason. They really are the best.
YOU WOULD BE INSANE TO TAKE YOUR PETS ANYWHERE ELSE – I TOOK MY DOG TO BANFIELD 3 TIMES, PAID 3 TIMES FOR A SICKNESS THEY COULD NOT IDENTIFY. THE FIRST TIME DR. WOOD JR, SAW MY DOG HE TOLD ME WHAT WAS WRONG, PRECRIBED MEDS FOR MY DOG, IN ALL HE WAS WONDERFUL. I MOVED TO KILLEEN, ANOTHER ONE OF MY DOGS BECAME ILL, I TOOK HER TO A EASTLAKE VET CLINIC, IN KILLEEN, THEY TOOK INJECTION SAMPLES , AND OTHER TESTS THAT REQUIRED THEM TO SQEEZE MUSCLES, AND SENT ME HOME TO THINK ABOUT PUTTING MY DOG TO SLEEP, OR PAY 3000 FOR A SURGERY... read more
