I buy all my underwater gear from Backscatter due to their great customer support and pricing. Can't think of a reason to go anywhere else.
Here is my impression from my visit to their shop last week. The shop is clearly located in the high-rent district of Monterey. Judging from their inventory they cater to a high end clientele. It looks like a shop that the crews from Nat Geo would call if they need some gear. On the other hand, I am very much a neophyte photographer. I was so confused on what to buy for my first underwater setup. I showed up, told Becca my goals and budget and she came up with a few options and prices. She walked me through every part and how to assemble and operate it all. I spent a couple hours there (and way too much money. Haha.) but she was so incredibly friendly and helpful! Thanks Becca!!!
