RecommendedIf you follow the instructions on their web page for service, it's just fine. I sent in a locomotive, they took care of it, and there was no charge because it was still under warranty. No problems or fuss. It gave me confidence in their products. Thanks, Bachmann.
I liked Bachmann because of their old time 4-4-0's and rolling stack when I was doing HO. I have since moved up to On30 and I like that even better. I like the size of the On30 stuff. It's bigger than HO and smaller than regular O gauge and it runs on HO track. I like the variety of steam locos they have and the rail trucks and rail buses. As I get older, the bigger equipment is easier for me to work with because my eye sight isn't what it used to be and my fingers aren't as nimble for working with small HO parts.
pretty good service in the past however, Bachmann, (nee Kader) needs to focus more on product selection and SERVICE, I have always been an advocate for C.S and that aint Colorado Southern RR..thats customer service!!! maybe it may help to get some experienced model R/R ers for some repair issues..Choo Choo Collins..THANKS!!
I wish that Bachmann Trains made cog railway models from the 1 in Manitou Springs, Colorado.

Absolutely brutal customer service. Being candid, it's almost like calling the DMV when speaking to the people on the phone here. I bought an Echo Valley set for my son, and after about 6 months, the engine wires were all broken due to poor design, specifically the wires in the harness are too short and brittle. Sent the train in for repair on 12/23/2017 after calling them and setting up the RMA in advance. Received email 1/9 saying they got the train (they got it on 12/27/2017 according to USPS, but I digress, it was the ho... read more
