Our mission at Baby Begin is to provide families with the most up-to-date information about prevention of plagiocephaly, torticollis and treatment of neck tightness. Approximately 80% of babies with skull asymmetries have a neck muscle imbalance or torticollis. If treated early enough, you can successfully reposition your baby, thus keeping the head round and symmetrical. Jennifer at Baby Begin is amazing to work with. We started therapy when Dylan was two months old and after five sessions, he showed enough improvement that we knew we wouldn't need a helmet. Not only did she come to our home for therapy, she visited the daycare to make sure they understood Dylan's needs and emphasized the best positions for his improvement. Jennifer at Baby Begin helped us so much with our little boy, starting around 3 months of age. We could not believe how flat his head had gotten so quickly on one side. Jennifer did wonders for him in just a few months. She helped us with stretching exercises to improve mobility and taught us how to properly position him in his crib with a swaddle, so that he would not sleep on the flat part of his head, but was still able to sleep comfortably (it's more complicated than you might think!). Our baby boy was diagnosed with torticollis @ 3 months old and he had a flat spot on his head. Jennifer began coming to do home visits and teach us stretches and positioning. He had full range of motion and a nice round head in 6 weeks! Jennifer was a huge blessing to us. I would definitely recommend baby begin.
I was so happy with Jennifer! Our baby girl suffered from flat head syndrome and a tight neck muscle. Jennifer came to our home when our daughter was 2 months old and worked her magic. She gave us homework to help baby's neck. She came by twice more within a month and we were all amazed by the progress! Thank you for saving us from a helmet!
Our son was diagnosed with tortacollis when he was @ 3 months old. He had a moderate case, with a flat spot on the back of his head, and his skull was asemetrical. Jennifer began making home visits to teach us how to position him properly, and taught us stretching and strength building exercises to give him full range of motion in his neck. Thanks to baby begin we had no need for a helmet and our little guy has a beautiful round head. Jennifer is warm, professional, and a very talented therapist. I would highly recommend!
