Azul Tequila is a Mexican nest right in the heart of Texas. This is the home of the Blue Margarita and the famous Blue Mexican Martini.It all begins in small town called TEXOPILLI (Tejupilco) which translated from the Aztec language means, (Dedo Gordo de el Pie), the big toe. This little town is surrounded by the states of Mexico, Michoacan, and Guerrero.

Great food, great drinks & great company! – Azul's is a great place to spend time catching up with friends over great food and great margarita's. The tortilla soup is something to brag about but that also goes for everything else on the menu! Service always comes with a smile and so do the mariachis. I'd highly recommend visiting at least once to make your own comparison but don't leave without having a blue margarita!
Wow! – I'm not a huge fan of Tex mex, being a new transplant to Austin, but you can't be here and not eat it. That being said, Azul Tequila really floored me. The margaritas were without qualification the best I have EVER had. The tex-mex was astounding and really redefined my view of tex mex (the shrimp with chipotle is to die for); my husband had a recommended chille relleno en crema and it was great too. great food great prices – Love this place - after hearing Trudy's south had 1.5 hour wait we went accross the street to "try" Azul Tequila. (my husband is suspicious of restaurants in strip malls next to exotic pet stores) It was BETTER than Trudy's (I think). The Mexican Martinis are terrific, the frozen Margaritas are great, the "house" margarita is all it should be and more - and the salsa! We sat down in five minutes and had fantastic fajitas! I almost don't want to recommend it for fear it will become too crowded!

best Mexican food ever – Azul Tequila's is the best Mexican food I've ever eaten, and I'm very choosy about my Mexican food. The margs are as good as the food, and the music on weekend evenings is fantastic!
anything but azul – man...good stuff. i don't usually like enchiladas..but these were awesome! they had fajitas, and all kinds of goodness...i highley recomend the chicken quesadillias as well.
Best Mexican Food in Austin! – Azul Tequila has to be one of my favorite restaurants out there. The food is outstanding. There are so many flavors to chose from on the menu. And the best part is that they have both Tex-Mex and Interior Mexican Dishes!!! I'm an avid fan of Mexican food. good service, good but not great food – We made the drive down to Azul Tequila based on the rave reviews. We found good food, but it wasn't great food. The service was very nice and the place is very pretty. Maybe the other reviewer had a lot of margaritas before they ate!
Muy sabroso – The puerco en chile rojo it is a wonderful authentic Mex dish, and the new appetizer the chille manzano rellenos with tuna fish the best appetizer ever and anywhere. Let me mention the margaritas specialy the Blue the best, yes the best in Texas.
