Azul Tequila is a Mexican nest right in the heart of Texas. This is the home of the Blue Margarita and the famous Blue Mexican Martini. It all begins in small town called TEXOPILLI (Tejupilco) which translated from the Aztec language means, (Dedo Gordo de el Pie), the big toe. This little town is surrounded by the states of Mexico, Michoacan, and Guerrero.

Don"t do it! If you are in the mood for some fake and bland food with lack of service you should try this place. I have been there once and only once.
Not good Not good. This place has very fake un-authentic Mexican food. The food is edible and not terrible, but it is not good Mexican food, for sure. The service was acceptable.
Nice Spot, but Once Was Enough The name Azul Tequila suggests a touch of the exotic, which this strip mall restaurant does not have. The food is okay, and the prices are too high, probably because of the fact that it is located next to a Target. High real estate prices there. It's a good place to stop in if you're in the area shopping, but if you're looking for a better deal on some good Mexican food, there are better alternatives.
Consider This: My wife and I have been going to Azul T for years. It's one of our favorite restaurants. Given the number of negative reviews here, I feel compelled to try and make a couple of things clear. First, everyone's taste in food is highly subjective. We've probably all been to restaurants that someone raved about only to find the experience to be less than what we expected. Secondly, if you go to Azul T and order ordinary Tex Mex you will be disappointed. Azul is really about the platos interior -- the interior food... read more
Azul Tequila is disappointing This restaurant is not near as nice as I expected and in my opinion is overpriced. They try to compete in the Austin music scene, but not very well
The good was yummy. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. I had the Dallas's pechuga. Was very tasty. Will definitely come back.
Well just got back from Azul Tquila, its been a good place for me and the wife to visit for dinner, this time round celebrating my sons 21's birthday, the service was just ok, the food was cold, and make sure you watch your bill we got stiffed for a $20 gratuity tip even though there was only 4 of us in our party, did not notice that till we left. So watch your bill as this is NOT the first time the screwed us on our bill!!! WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK!!!
Terrible!
Great local restaurant with cheap lunch specials, tasty queso, and excellent margaritas (the blue marg is their signature, though I prefer the house). Service is always prompt and friendly and they can accommodate large groups at a moments notice. Never have to wait to be seated. A lunch spot favorite and a favorite of Adam Richmond from Man vs Food!
