A wonderful, affordable salon. Raquel does my color (an annoyingly tricky blonde) and spends the time to make sure it's perfect before letting me walk out the door. Staff is friendly, beer is a major plus.

I've been going to Shampoo Ave B for 3 years and get awesome haircuts EVERY time from Carlos!! Strangers often compliment my hair. I have Asian hair and like short edgy cuts. Sometimes I bring pictures or I just tell him I want a cut like Rihanna or some other celebrity and he modifies/tailors the haircuts/styles according to my face shape and hair texture. Shampoo Avenue B is the first salon in New York that I've booked multiple appointments for. This place is the real deal -- great service, rewards for loyal customers, and the stylists are TALENTED. I had a cut and highlights with Erik back in the fall, and he did an amazing job. Seriously: the best. Highly recommended if you're looking for a quality haircut/color in the city!

After moving to NYC I searched and searched to find a small salon with great hair stylists, with affordable price. I have now been going to Shampoo Avenue B for several years and have not once been disappointed. The team is incredibly friendly and I have never left with a bad cut! They also offer a great student discount and sales on hair products. I am looking forward to checking out their new space at my next cut!

I've been going to Shampoo Ave B for years and it is hands down the best salon in the city. All of the stylists are chic, trendy, highly skilled and they treat you like royalty! Upon arrival, they take your coat and offer you a beverage (I always have a beer). The salon just moved into a new, larger space right down the street from their old location which I love. I have found an amazing hair cutter in Jessica and feel very lucky! I love that she remembered me after my 1st haircut. She made a great recommendation for a hair product which I ended up buying and use all the time. I thought I would feel intimidated but everyone at Shampoo Ave B is really very friendly.
