Honest,Worth the drive – I live in Houston area,And finding a honest affordable mechanic there just is not happening. I drive to Austin to have Colton and his team do all my work on both vehicles my Bmw and my Mercedes, he has been able to repair both my cars for a signaficant less amount than the dealers or other repairs shops I have visited and still used dealer parts. THE Best – I am a woman who has been BURNED by sooooo many mechanics! I don't know what it is that they thought it was okay to take advantageof me...in consequence, I approach any car repair with a lot of hesitation and dismay EXCEPT with this particular Brake Specialists location. Courteous Staff and Good Service – I can't say enough good things about this location. Colton is always a pleasure to deal with and the techs do a great job. My brakes are great. My new shocks and struts feel great. My oil pan no longer leaks on my garage floor. Thanks for everything.
Took care of my noisy steering issue – I brought my Acura in for a noisy steering issue that was only happening when the vehicle was on a cold start. They let me drop it off overnight, so it would be cold for them. They confirmed the noise and did some research. Apparently, Honda has a TSB on this issue. They replaced an o-ring on the power steering pump and flushed the power steering fluid for me for about $95. The noise has gone away and I am very happy.
Fixed my rear axle seals on my 4Runner, Thanks! – I came in to get my brakes looked at, since it felt like I was stopping as well as I used to. They got me right in and looked the vehicle over thoroughly. They brought me out to my car to show me that axle grease had coated both rear wheels and all of the brake hardware back there as well. Fixed My Oil Leak and Took Care of My Tune Up – I had been driving around with my check engine light on and my vehicle felt like it had no power. After seeing the good reviews for the Brake Specialists on South Lamar, I decided to bring my car in to get it checked out. Quickly Machined My Loose Rotors – I am a do-it-yourselfer when it comes to my vehicle, but I usually need a good shop to machine my rotors when I do the brakes on my vehicle. I had been using South Austin Machine Shop, but they are usually slammed. I decided to go to another well reviewed shop, so I took my rotors to the Brake Specialists at 1303 South Lamar. VERY GOOD JOB,WELL EXPLAINED – I was impressed by the manager Colton.He actually took me out to my vehicle and showed what was going on with my brakes. He compared my worn out pads to new ones in a box. No fancy auto talk just simple and plain english,I was very pleased and will return. I was also impress with the master mechanic David he was very polite in explaining what he was going to be doing to my rotors and had my brake job done at the time he had stated. Great job .
Good Service, Very Happy with Repairs – I had a knock sensor issue with my Chevy Silverado about a week ago and brought my vehicle to the South Lamar location. They treated me right and got the issue fixed for me. The check engine light has stayed off and I was able to get my vehicle inspected. Thanks for the quick service.
