During 1929, when the entire city of Manchester was reeling under the effects of the Great Depression, Dora Mae realized the need for a pub. Everyone around needed a drink to relax and wane away all the worries. Soon word passed and locals started heading here for a pint or two. During the Prohibition era, she operated the pub from the basement of a building. Just like I remembered it from 30 years ago. Good bars are timeless.
I never expected to find such a welcoming and homey bar. Be ready to make great friends! I will always hold AMP close to my heart and will visit it every chance I get! Definitely looking forward to making it back to Manhappiness ASAP.
