South Philly Gem – What a gem this discovery is! August is an upscale place in the heart of of South Philly. The service is first class, the place is spotless and you are welcomed like family to this twist on Italian eatery. Maryann Brancaccio's cusine is delectable. DON'T TELL – I love that not too many people know about my favorite restaurant. More for me. August is tops in every way from the moment you walk in. Great staff, great food, they allow you to linger and enjoy. I could eat here every day and never be tired of the great food and great service.

South Philly gem – The only reason August remains relatively unknown is its somewhat out of the way location. This is a true gem; a romantic South Philly Italian restaurant with wonderful food. My Friends were Right – Can't say enough good things about this place. Attentive waitstaff serving really good food in a sophisticated setting. It reminded me of the Ivy in London. The focus is where it should be - on the food and the diner's comfort & enjoyment.
Sophisticated Comfort Food – Great food for those who really know food. The seafood dishes here are exceptional...the crabcake better than Perrier's! Service is warm, professional and unobtrusive, way above usual BYOB standards.
Hidden Treasure – This BYOB in South Philly has been consistently delightful. Italian food with a twist, spring rolls filled w/angel hair pasta & salmon served with whole wheat pasta aiolo & greens.
