Loved It Twice!! – Well I must say that we enjoyed August even more the second time around. I thought they were great the first time I was there a few months ago and was fully prepared to be disappoined (this is normally how it goes) on the second visit. To our delight it was fantastic. a find to be treasured – Our party of four thoroughly enjoyed the evening of Aug 10th . Their food was delicious, portions ample. The ambiance is delightful and the service from a beautiful Russian born college student was excellent.
Very Disappointed! – I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT THIS RESTAURANT IS NOT VERY ACCOMMODATING. THERE WERE RESERVATIONS MADE FAR IN ADVANCE FOR A FUND RAISER. WE WANTED TO ADD AN ADDITIONAL PERSON AND THEY WOULD NOT CHANGE THE RESERVATION. I COULD UNDERSTAND IF WE WERE CHANGING FROM 6 PEOPLE TO 10 PEOPLE, BUT 6 PEOPLE TO 7 ? THIS EVENT WAS TO RAISE MONEY FOR A VERY WORTHY CAUSE. I WAS FORCED TO MAKE RESERVATIONS ELSEWHERE! AND AS FOR FUTURE I WILL EAT ELSEWHERE AS WELL. NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE FOOD IS!
You should try this place out – I've only been to this cute little place once and had a nice meal. The only drawback I had was the fact that it has an open kitchen. When I'm done with my meal, I don't want to smell more food being prepared. Other than that, I found the place to be comfortable, the waitstaff to be friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere pleasant.
Addicting – Ok,I'm addicted to August . If you want to have a completely delightful dining experience ,this is the place. From the moment you arrive ,through your entire meal,right to the moment your receive your bill and M&Ms.....you know you are coming back. A Great Find! – Last Thursday I returned to August and once again experienced great food in a warm, inviting atmosphere, served by an attentive, knowledgable wait staff. Always Great!!!!! – Last weekend I returned to this South Philly favorite and had a wonderful meal. Strted with the baby lamp chops which are heavenly! Had the crab cakes for an entree and they are the best in the city. I love this place, again and again!!!
User review by bummer – I had reservations for dinner early sat 10/15. Unfortunately of my party of 4, 2 were hung up in a traffic accident jam and were 1/2 hr. late, a fact we announced upon entering. Not a problem we were told. Not true.
