After being run over by a truck I felt the dr was not very concerned and although nice , the staff was sloppy in the care of abrasions. I was not given antibiotics . Although it's been several days, I feel worse and can barely walk.
Nurse Velvet is the best such a caring person about the only one that takes her job serious
Best rural hospital anywhere! Excellent physician and clinical staff, beautiful setting, not to mention the caring hands of the caregivers who treat patient and family with excellence from admission through discharge. The heart of our Polk County Community! I am thankful and forever so proud of my hometown hospital and I sleep well knowing we are in good hands close by if that critical access is needed in a hurry:) Thank you, Team PMC!

My grandmother came up from Macon to help my daughter celebrate her 6th birthday and she fell coming down a step onto the concrete pool deck. We rushed her to Polk Medical and boy am I glad she came here. The staff was so helpful, kind and considerate. My grandmother ended up having a fractured pelvis. They kept her pain free overnight as they monitored her condition and then arranged transportation for her to a Macon hospital closer to her home even though it was Labor Day weekend.
