Per the other reviews here, this bank was an excellent bank, until they decided to do a forced "account upgrade", which was actually changing their partnership with the backend bank, from Radius to Coastal. This was ILL PLANNED and ILL EXECUTED. I have $500 that I cannot trace, vanished from my account. Made a $500 payment one day BEFORE the forced "upgrade". Days later I get $500 credited to the new account ("Radius Balance Transfer"), what about my payment?! On the same day I get the mystery transactions with only "Radius ... read more

I have had a checking account for about 3 years with Aspiration and only recently started having issues. My transactions weren't being updated efficiently to the point where I'm seeing charges weeks out, I was charged insufficient fund charges not realizing how much was even going to be in my account, wasn't able to deposit money from ANY ATM, even when I did manage to wire money to the account it still isn't reflected 2-7 days out and it wasn't enough to cover the new charges. This "migration process" from Radius to Coastal has been a huge nightmare, riddled with problems on a daily basis for the past 2 weeks! Including not having the routing number recognized by my credit card company, not having my direct deposit go through for 2 pay-periods now, duplicated check charges, mystery transactions with only "Radius Balance Transfer" as a description, no new checks to replace my old ones as promised, previously slow to now absolutely NO customer support... the list seems endless. They've locked my account for a fraud investigation despite issuing a new card and even after canceling the investigation they still have left my account locked. It has been a week and hasn't become an emergency now! Do not bank with this them!

This bank was really good until they decided for no reason change my account number for a debit card I never wanted. I could not access my money from either account until I activated my debit card. They never sent me one. I had all my re-occurring payments bounced, so I received returned fees and late fees. Plus, I was kicked out of most of my re-occurring payment programs. Aspiration Help desk is non existent, I waited over two hours on phone and gave up, plus was online for over 30 minutes with no help. No one answered the... read more

Website was informative and answered all of my initial questions about opening an online high yield savings account. My red flag was when setting up the account. When the part about linking to an existing checking account came up they didn't just ask for routing number and account number. They asked for my log in id and password. No thanks, that's way more information than they need. Had scam written all over it.

This place consistently has bad customer service. Businesses don't seem to provide good service like they used to, so I don't know what the alternative is. I stick with my local credit union, though, for most of my banking needs. The only positive I can say is that their check deposit software is better than the competition. It rarely degrades the photo quality of a photo so bad that it rejects it.

Had an issue but they solved it. Decent bank and investment firm I would recommend. Would have been 5 stars but they took a full day to respond to my email.

Do yourself a favor... don't use this product ever. I'm basically about to lose all of the money I put in. I used the account as a secondary account. Serious debit card issues, serious customer service accessibility issues. This bank should be ashamed of themselves.
