My Aspiration account is in an operations hold status as of this afternoon. I just finished transferring $5000 from my former primary checking account and everything was going smoothly with Aspiration until today. Suddenly, this afternoon, my debit card stopped working and I was locked out of their website. Review of account was delayed due to shortage of staff; staff has since been added to expedite review process. There's no customer support. I tried for two months to get help from customer support. Three emails were ignored; the fourth one an auto-responder robot replied. I closed the account after several attempts to handle the website malfunction situations. When a business is dealing with financial matters, the client has to be able to trust the company. I lost my trust in this company.

I had an Aspiration Summit account that was great, and since the transfer, as others have mentioned, it has been a nightmare. My direct deposit paychecks are not processing. Payments that I made on credit cards were rejected with no explanation and no ability to get anyone at Aspiration to respond via their website, emails, or phone calls. My credit cards were CLOSED because I can't get Aspiration to produce a letter because I can't get them to RESPOND to anything. This is criminal.

So far, so fantastic. No issues with my account, no issues with customer service, pure profit. I've only had my account for ~2 months, and already they increased the APY to 2% instead of 1%!!!! transfers and moving money around and switching over has been easy and painless.
Terrible customer service. I have been trying to open an account with aspiration for weeks now. The issue has been with linking my external bank account. After calling customer service and requesting a call back due to their "high call volume", I was never called back. I emailed customer service, and that communication has also been disappointing, to say the least. I saw the nicely produced commercials on TV and thought this would be a nice bank to set up a bill pay account with. They took a week to post a $3 transfer. No one ever answers the phone at Customer Service. The recording will prompt you to send them an email with your question but if you ever do get a response it will be several days later and not actually answer the question you had. This bank is awful. Do business with them at your own risk.

Aspiration commercial brags about saving the planet and they show a young woman buying cut flowerscut flowers are one of the worst commodities - on this planetit makes you totally un-credible about anything.
I set up an Aspiration App at the end of March and 2 weeks later I still don't have access to my money. I could not reverse the deposit so my money is just sitting in an account that I do not have access to. NO ONE will call you and there is no one to speak with. They send emails back telling me I have the wrong email. It's supposedly FDIC insured but they have no real customer service. Please don't get involved with this place! Its a night mare so far.
OMG, run for the hills away from this "circus" of a bank! They will NOT answer their toll free number. They take several days to respond to email, only to ignore your specific requests or questions. My recent direct deposit is in limbo in their bank system, and I have no access to it. A Federal investigation should be requested on this outfit. Call the FDIC Call an Attorney Call your State Senator. Report these clowns.
