DO NOT BANK WITH THESE GUYS!!!! You have been forewarned. It took forever to get my card and when I did they had sent it to the wrong address that I never gave to them but they claim I did. I told them not to do an investigation 12 times because it was an address I sometimes used but I still wanted to know how they knew of that address without me giving it to them. On March 15th 2020, I got an email from Aspiration Bank about the 5% cashback promo on their digital debit card. For clarification, I sent back an email on March 24th 2020, asking: "I have some questions on this 5% promo: 1. It's on any kind of purchase, just need to be under $1000 on each purchase? 2. I loved this bank! Never had ANY problems and always has Great things to say about it. Until I emailed because I had a question. Less than 10 hours before my mother's social security direct deposit was to be made, they closed me WITHOUT ANY notice. I called and didn't get much help there either. Basically "oh sorry someone should have told you. We will look into this so it doesn't happen to anyone else but can't do anything else" SERIOUSLY?! How about the family you did it to?! I opened an account with $1000. The money is now lost. Aspiration says they don't know where it is. My bank says it left my account and they don't know where it is. Aspiration says my bank blocked them, which my bank says is not true. Now, I want to cancel my account and was told they have to send me an email with the steps to take to cancel my account??? Whaat? Opened a Redwood Fund account, then quickly realized that funds could only be withdrawn back into the same account that deposited the funds. I quickly pulled out and tried to open a Spend & Save account for the sole purpose of funding investment into the Redwood Fund. The site said it would take 3-5 business days to review my identification. Ive been trying to get my bank account linked for a little over a month now! Ive spoken back and forth with supervisor John over this time period and although he is good with customer service, he is terrible about returning calls and follow up/through. I spoke with supervisor Robert the day before yesterday. This guy has no customer service in his bones whats so ever and i hope you review the call. He is aful, almost made me pull all my money from both accounts and investment funds. He should think about the type of industry... read more

I have to tell you that my experience with this company does not reflect the glossy promises. If you need to contact them, be prepared to wait. Today I held for 37 minutes only to have my called answered with "hello" and then the representative hung up on me. In my case they refused to pay a bill pay check stating insufficient funds even though the paying account had thousands of dollars more in it at all times. Fees incurred due to bill pay were fully reimbursed to Donald, and account features were discussed in depth to avoid future issue.
