We took our 10yo son to the ** to obtain help and were charged 5 times the rate of another regional medical center. I even work for Ascension and cannot understand the discrepancy.
I took my child for a cash pay/ no ins procedure. There were 3 different people prior to the procedure who quoted me the same $4699. 61 price. There were no complications and again no ins to file to alter the quote. To date I have been billed over $20k across multiple account numbers. Showed up to my in network hospital to deliver my first born with my in network doctor. Chose to get an epidural. At 6cm dilated, I made it a point to ask my nurse if the anesthesiologist was in network, which I was then told yes. Understaffed and too many caseloads to handle. They don't care about their patients. They often refer their patients to other behavioral health centers, just to get them off their hands. They don't return your calls. It's extremely difficult to get in with the psychiatrist. The turnover rate for the therapist there is unbelievable, they go through them quickly. Ascention all saints in Racine is very intimidated with prejudices. Too afraid to do things according to the rules because there receptionists are too intimidated by color to do things right. This ER department triaged me as a level 5 when I was 10/10 pain with a suspected eptopic pregnancy! They allowed someone whos finger hurt go ahead of me. Do not go here if you have life threatening illnesses or injuries they WILL leave you out in the waiting room balled over in pain and bleeding
I went to st marys because I felt like i was going to die. they told me I had covid and they couldnt treat me and that I should go to the emergency room. I walk across camus to the emergency room and waited 7 hours they removed my name from the board. i was waiting outside they siad was fine they wont forget about me then they forgot about me. after 7 hours of waiting they ran out of time for me I still have not been seen.
