husband came in for chest pain....there is one other person in the waiting room. it has been an hour... apparently they are changing shifts. I am pretty sure they billed us faster than they treated him.
I think the ER staff is more concerned about socializing with each other than taking care of patients. So frustrating to sit six plus hours for a simple wound check and have to constantly ask what is going on. It is only then that they try to call around to get what they need to proceed. Plus, the past two times we have gone to ER their computers were down making things take even longer. Sad that it took less time at this same hospital to have back surgery than it does for an ER visit.

RecommendedBig shout out to Dr Roe, my anesthesiologist today. Ive always had problems waking up from anesthesia, takes forever and then i basically sleep for 2-3 days with a terrible anesthesia hangover. I told him about it, he totally adjusted the normal protocol, removed a drug and did lighter version of other drugs. I woke up quickly and don't feel terrible. Absolutely amazing, so happy. Not to mention he was super nice so was everyone at the hospital. If you have to have surgery in Austin i highly recommend going here #lifechanger... read more
