My 4 month stay here has been a nightmare! Please do yourself a favor and look somewhere else to live. I moved from California and did a virtual tour. I was promised a specific unit prior to arriving, on my day of arrival they advised me that unit was no longer available. While I no longer wanted to live at this community I had no option I already gave a deposit, I have a family of 5 and we had no where else to go so we stayed at a hotel and waited for them to find us another unit. Austin TX location 10320 Boulder Ln. My daughter currently goes to college at Concordia Of Austin and we rent an apartment at this location. This year we have experienced several bad experiences and have had very un-professional conversations with the staff and management. My daughter has had to call in several times with complaints about the apartment, AC, random things like Washer and dryer sitting in front of their front door for days as well as parking and security issues. This is the second time in two weeks that the Artisan has shut off water to the entire complex to fix a "valve" issue. This has happened at least four times since the two years that I have been here. Not only that, but there are no street lights in front of building 11/13 so for about 75 yards it is pitch dark at night, and dangerous to cross the street, or walk the sidewalks. I would like to add to Reece's review. My husband and I had a similar experience in 2018. Shortly after moving into a third floor apartment, the person below us started torturing us with noises. I mean really loud bangs, doors being slammed, kitchen cabinets being slammed - over and over again, day after day. I never heard any arguing, so it can't really be attributed to some domestic dispute. These noises were very loud, and very deliberate and methodical. It is clear now that the only (small) justice I will receive from my terrible experience at Sonterra Apartments in Austin, Texas is this review. Everything started off normally and cordially. The staff even helped us with a sunshade for our window free of charge. The problems started with the move-in of an out of control neighbor. He would only started his misbehavior at night and he would do it every night. We are sorry that you have had this situation happen. Unfortunately, there are many laws and policies that we must follow to get a trouble resident out of the apartment. We are required to serve violation notices and when those are still ignored we send a notice to the resident to move. If they still do not move out, we must file for eviction. Worst place, Poor Staff specially ( Jennifer and Manager) I was trying to move to a bigger apartment, they make sign transfer application with that a document of moving out, After that they call me back that I wasn't approved and now I need it to move out in 60 days. The only thing they say sorry. for the lack of information and lies.

From time to time, the apartment location or the floor plan makes it a very desired apartment and they rent very fast. When that happens we have no choice but to still proceed with the notice.
