Mediocre hotel but great location and hotel staff. The hotel is ok if a little faded round the edges but they do charge for pretty much everything that isn't nailed down so more motel than hotel. The Blue Mermaid restaurant is very poor - poor quality food , sarcastic service and over priced. As an alternative the Italian a few doors down is SO much better. Beautiful food and friendly service where nothing is too much trouble. So overall a mediocre at best hotel saved by a great location.
RecommendedQuirky conversion of a Victorian red brick canning factory right on the shore close to Fisherman’s Wharf. Good disabled access big rooms. Maritime museum connected within building about to attend a wedding here that’s going to be special.

I can not recommend this hotel enough! Location. Location! Location!!! But there’s so much more! The Blue Mermaid and wine tasting were right there and both were amazing! The staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms we’re clean, comfortable, quiet, and wonderfully decorated in appropriate decor. We booked based on online reviews alone and we would do it again in a heartbeat! Stay at this hotel, you will NOT regret it! THANK YOU Argonaut hotel and staff!
