Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but there were a few things that could be improved. It would be helpful to have a towel hook or rack in a more accessible location, as I couldn’t comfortably reach the existing towel hook. I really loved the magnifying mirror—it was a great and thoughtful feature. However, there is no full length body mirror! The Argonaut is a very nice hotel, and we enjoyed our stay. My only suggestion for future guests is to be cautious about relying on the confirmation total when upgrading a room. When I checked out, the final cost did not match the amount shown on my confirmation, which I feel is against California law. When I asked about the discrepancy, I was made to feel as though I was wrong for even bringing it up, which was disappointing. Since posting this review they have refused to refund the over payment. We had a wonderful experience, our room included a view of Alcatraz with windows that opened for some fresh air. We were able to book our room with valet parking included, which was a cheaper option than buying it separately, and an ease of mind knowing it was parked somewhere safe overnight. They also had discounts included which included the Ben & Jerry's ice cream next door and the restaurant downstairs.
