Originally a fruit cannery built in 1907, the Kimpton Group took over this historic building in San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf and turned it into a world-class luxury hotel. It proudly wears its red brick walls and bright and unique nautical decor. You can play your own DVDs inside the room to keep the kids entertained. Depending on where your room is, you will have a view of the wharf and either the Golden Gate Bridge or Alcatraz Island. When it's time to turn in, you will find your bed extremely inviting with its goose ... read more

Shoutout to EVA thanks so much for helping me with the room maintenance today! She was really friendly and funny. Superb service!
Awesome hotel everyone was so nice shout out to Ava our engineer that fixed the air conditioning
Room was small, location was amazing. The amenities were lackluster at best, think Hyatt. Definitely expecting more.
My son-in-law and grand-daughter and I spent 4 glorious fun filled days/nights at this beautiful Hotel. The nautical theme is very attractive and interesting. Our room was very clean, quiet, and spacious. The best part of the stay was the staff. Everyone was so polite and helpful. My buddy at the door (Donovan) was a light-hearted soul, fun to talk with (Hi Donovan:))! The food in The Blue Mermaid was excellent, no more pricey than anywhere else on the boulevard. The lobby was fun to sit in and play cards with my grand-daugh... read more
Extremely underwhelmed for $413 a night. Rude front desk attendant, room is same quality of 3 star holiday inn of 50% less cost. I couldn't be paid to spend another night there.

Dear Mr. Nelson, Before I say anything else, please accept my apologies! To think that you left the Argonaut with this impression is a huge disappointment to all of us. We strive to provide the best service possible but realize there is always room for improvement. Any additional details you could tell me would me most helpful. Please accept my invitation to discuss your experience over a separate email. As manager I am eager to find out what exactly happened and where improvements are needed. Thank you again for your feedba... read more
The location is great, the staff top notch, the room spacious, cleanliness is a priority and it was quiet and inviting. Stay in the lobby and enjoy the fire, look at the beam and think a n out the men who cuy the trees, and logged the beams and installed. The iron and detail to this place is fantastic. If you can afford it, stay there, end of story.
We recently visited The Argonaut . The location was great but what we loved even more was the hospitality of every staff member we can across, especially the door men! We mentioned upon booking that we were celebrating our very belated honeymoon/anniversary. We arrived to a lovely bottle of wine in our room along with a sweet personalized note. The room was very nicely decorated and super cozy. We would definitely stay again! Thank you for a memorable visit!
