Anyone who has love & care to give should rescue a pet in need that's a good fit for them. So many that need our help! Can't imagine life w/o our rescue, Nayah. Looking forward to giving another doggie the good life when the time is right!
I'm disappointed in you ARF, Please take back the dog Daisy at CCAS in Martinez. She is on a fast track to being killed there.

Amazing place. Such a beautiful lovely facility for the animals. Lots of toys and blankets for them too.
I adopted my cat, Anastasia (known as Allison Krauss at the shelter) from ARF back in 2011, when ARF had an adoption promotion offering free adult cats. An adoption counselor helped me pick out the right cat for me (based on temperament, and ability to be docile with my elderly Dad who was living with me) and so I picked Allison Krauss, and changed her name to Anastasia. An excellent place to find a lifelong friend. The volunteers are the kindest most caring people. I can't say enough about this place. Clearly it was built on love and going strong!
This is the best shelter I've been to in the area. It's a nice place, they keep the kennels pretty clean, and it's filled with extremely helpful workers and volunteers who are willing to answer all your questions. When you find a dog you're interested in, just ask to see it and they'll take it out to the field or courtyard so you can walk/play with it. I am extremely impressed with the professionalism and will definitely be making more visits in the future!
