This is my local rescue and I have tried to adopt through them in the past. Went through the interview, process etc. I got there a bit too late as the person in front of me adopted the dog I had fallen in love with! 😫 Needless to say, I am definitely a fan. The animals are in little homey, offices instead of “jail cells” that you see in other cities. The staff/ volunteers were first rate and true animal lovers. The little store they had was adorable and my Tinky and I left with some ARF gear as well. This is a well run resc... read more
Terrible leadership and backwards priorities! Do your research before supporting this org. SHAME
As far as I can tell this "animal rescue" has made zero effort to address the mistreatment expressed publicly by a significant number of employees, and the poor treatment of certain animals in their care. ARF MANAGEMENT. WHERE ARE YOU?!! We demand answers!
This place cares more about paying their executives millions than taking care of the animals or the people who care for the animals. If you want a good place to get a shelter dog, look elsewhere.
greed over care. worst rescue ever
Disgusting excuse for a company. How dare you lay off employees to pad your own salaries and then put down an animal you weren’t equipped to care for?!!
Shouldn't have fired all of your essential employees.
I don’t recommend that you trust or support Tony La Russa’s ARF as long as their current leadership is still in power. Non-profit is a joke title for this organization, they are money hungry and treat their employees and most desperate animals without empathy. Ask the CEO Elena Bicker why she is paid so much while the animal care staff is paid poverty wages. Ask them why they fired a majority of their essential animal care staff 4 days into sheltering in place? Ask Tracy Gimbel why she didn’t care enough to save Flynn?
We adopted our pup Percy (formerly Dolphin) over a week ago now and the no contact pickup process was fantastic. Thank you so much! He is adjusting well and is the perfect pup for our family.
