Fantastic food & serious service – Just ate at Aqua last week and thought the food was exceptionally well prepared. Had the shellfish app. and the rare tuna with foie gras. Both were absolutley delicious. The sommelier and waiter were very helpful without being pushy. Thought the prices for food and wine were a little high, but worth the trip
Aqua - The undersea treasure – Okay i just love this place. If I had my way and could afford it on a weekly basis it would be one of my most frequent visits. I will be dining here for my birthday on August 13th.
Cheap tourists back off! – In SF from Chicago - place came highly regarded from friends out there... nothing short of perfect. Some of the best seafood I've ever had, certainly the most original dishes. We (four) asked the waitor to put together a selection of wine - 4 app's, and 4 various entree's for us - our own mini-tasting; it was very good. BE SURE, however, to ask for a table in the back - the front is very loud - the back is more private, nicer, and way more conducive to conversation.
I can't believe the food is so blah – Maybe I happen to order the wrong thing EVERY time I have been to Aqua - but at this level of dining, there should be no wrong dishes. I, and my entire table, have had terribly bland dishes and overcooked fish and shellfish on each visit. Several items have been tasty, but these are not the main courses. Aqua must be doing something right with some of their dishes to gain the good reviews I see here, but they have a serious problem with food quality and can't seem to prepare seafood prop... read more
Best in SF – They have simply the best food, serive and ambience in town but try to get a table. Aqua does a great job, the food is always well prepared and presented and the servie is impecable.
