I've had better – This place has the reputation of one of the best restaurants in town. I did not see it. The ambiance is great and the wait staff is fine, but the food was not worth the price. I paid $120 for 2 for lunch and have had better food at Julies Supper Club. I would not recommend this place.

Much Better Than Expected – I'm not crazy about seafood, in general, but decided to try this restaurant out during the Dine About Town promotion. My $19.95 3-course lunch began with a cauliflower soup infused with lemon (the "special" one also had Beluga caviar), followed by a Bali snapper (again, the "special" one had truffles from Perigord), and ending with a root beer float. I also had the wine pairing for an additional $7.50. Everything was good by me. Also, I rarely eat bread at a restaurant, but the bread here was quit... read more

Flawless service – The food is good but does not match its astronimal price. I've had the tasting menu, the flavor and presentation is there but it just doesn't quite measure to its price. Our server was very professional and very attentive though. Never had to wait for anything at all - flawless!

So not worth the price – Took a friend there last night to celebrate the holidays and check this highly overrated restaurant out. We opted for the Chef's Tasting menu - out of the 5 dishes only one was at all remarkable and the $90 price tag each was simply not justified but the small portions, grisly meat, overly salted and frozen tasting ingredients of most of the tiny dishes.

over-rated, loud, and not as upscale of – The portions of the food does not match the astronomical prices that they charge for the entrees. The place is so loud that, what was meant to be a romantic dinner, turned out to be a frustrating night of overhearing other people's conversations. If you have a big appetite this is not the place to go. My entree which was priced at $36 for a Striped bass, ravioli (1 piece) with 2 hard rubbery tempura, should have just cost $12. It wasn't that great. I won't be coming back to this plac... read more

Very good food, bad service – Bad service for how much money you end up leaving there. The prices are high but absolutely worth it. I was there with a group of friends and all of them thought the food was exceptional. The atmosphere is exciting and the people are dressed up.

Worth the price! – The food is DELICIOUS! I had a lobster pot pie which was out ofthis world. The soufflee special was also fantastic. What was surprising was how unsnooty the waitstaff was. This was a welcome change. Our waitress reccomended a wine, and didn't look at me like I was an idiot. It's pricey, but worth every penny.

SNOOOOTIE – The food was good, not AMAZING though, considering the price. I don't think i will go back though, because the wait staff was so stuck up and unfriendly. It's not French Laundry and the act like it's that quality. I was dissapointed.

Great Food, detached service – Aqua serves some of my favorite food in the city, especially since I love seafood. Sometimes whimsical, sometimes flashy, but always solid dishes. Their signature sea bass is buttery, and its mild sweetness is warmly complemented by an earthy mushroom broth. Their appetizers (almost always better than their entrees) are all quite delicious and fun - try their light puffy crab cakes, or their complex tuna tartare (which infuses layers of flavors like sesame seed oil, jalapenos, pears, white pepp... read more
