Apria is a byproduct of a fragmented healthcare system. I’m remaining neutral in my opinion. Working with DME companies are a nightmare as it is, and no one would know that if you are not working in the healthcare field. you have to be informed of what exactly is needed for the process to go well. All documents need to be submitted or the insurance companies will NOT provide payment, so of course there will be delay and hold up in services. One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. I work in healthcare, I deal with issues every single day. This company needs to improve their workflows first and foremost. Also, they have done a good job at gaming the insurance payer/individual payer matrix. Save yourself time/money as well as your employer money and purchase your supplies elsewhere.
Long wait for someone to answer phone. Called for supplies got the run around out on hold agsin got transferred to Philippines are Indonesia cannot understand them and they get Cocky with me. Was on three way call myself mefocsre and foreign country. They got cocky with Medicare And me again. My C Pap Machine broke. Yhey did not give me a replacement. Did without for Five weeks. I when I first got C Pap Machine it was delivered be a delivery driver who did not know what being delivered much less how to set up.
Terrible customer service. In fact, one of the worst I have ever experienced. When you call you wait 20 minutes on hold to talk to someone and then they disconnect you after 20 minutes without ever answering. Tried again. It did the same thing. No warning. No nothing. Tried a 3rd time and when I was finally able to talk to someone they said that is standard policy. Standard policy??? Yes, it's standard policy to completely devalue customers. Stay away from this company.
If I had the option to deal with Apria or ISIS, I would choose ISIS............at least ISIS is reasonable and upfront with the fact that choose to do you harm. 7 month long saga continues of dealing with this HORRIBLE company. Horrible experience ordering a breast pump. My insurance said Apria is a covered provider and when I called they said I was all set and just had to fax in the prescription, then the pump would be sent. After faxing it in, I still hadn't received it 1 month later so I called. They said that I wasn't able to get the pump, because my insurance wouldn't accept, but they didn't know why. I work with Apria on a daily basis for a B2B relationship. I've had nothing but great and positive experiences working with the Apria team.
I am at my wits end. I need someone from Apria to resolve this situation. My son received oxygen after his PICU stay in May 2015. Apria received his correct insurance information and has failed to bill it properly. I even sent the IRS Form 1095-B as proof that he was covered for the time frame in question. Instead of resolving the billing issue, the claim was processed as self-pay. His file is not, and never has been, self-pay. I have called too many times to count about this issue. I have been dealing with an issue with this company for four months now. They are apparently committing insurance fraud! I have been on the phone with them this morning old or 2 1/2 hours and being hung up on five times! This company cares nothing about the customer only about cheating the insurance companies out of money!!
