They scammed a public employee. Don't want to reimburse fee, claims "services were rendered". This is true, but the fee was only paid due to a fraudulent misrepresentation. Should be closed down by the authorities.

If I could, I would select the “send them to jail” review option. They are still charging us for no services rendered and the only way to get out of this scam is to send them a letter by mail. All this company does is sell software and a service. They obviously make it as hard as possible for you to escape their cesspit.

AppFolio is not tenant-friendly, which makes it not landlord-friendly, and it tees up a scenario of fees that violate California state law. Specifically: 1) AppFolio only offers fee-paying methods to pay rent. If The owner/manager doesn't absorb the fee or allow a non-fee paying method, the owner/manager will be in violation of rent stabilization laws which cap rent. My condo HOA fees are handled by AppFolio. My statement is late every month, but on the last day of each month I get a message from them informing me that my payment is due. I wonder if this might by by design, that they might be sending the statement late so I will be prompted to pay $9.99 to use their online payment system to prevent the payment from being late. I complain the the building management, but in the end no one is available, responsible, or accountable.

Cash grabbing property management platform. Can't pay rent without a $2.50 fee. Ridiculous.

I was double charged for my July rent by Appfolio and there is no way to contact them to dispute or reverse the duplicate transaction. This is over $1000 dollars that needs to be credited back.

Terrible customer service. I cancelled my service and they won’t “let me” cancel. They keep billing me . According to California law, an online software is supposed to have an easy way to cancel and easy way to read the contract. They purposely hide this feature. There is no place on my profile to cancel my service or read my contract. They have no customer service number. Do not sign up!

My landlord uses Appfolio for me to pay my rent, and I accidentally put the wrong date down to pay my rent for next month. I put today's date instead of the 30th. Appfolio doesn't allow the renter to modify or cancel a rent payment, which is ridiculous for the renter. Mistakes happen, and Appfolio doesn't provide the renter the ability to correct a mistake, so I'm trapped into having to call my bank to stop this payment and I will have to pay a service fee to stop this payment from going through because they don't give rente... read more
