I highly recommend Dr. Schena and the team at Boston Orthopedics and Spine. He was able to review the MRI on my knee and discuss various treatment options. He walked me through the MRI images, answered my questions, and laid out treatment options to choose from. Check-in was smooth and parking at the Brighton location was free.
Five months after a total knee replacement by a different surgeon, I consulted w/ Dr Schena about the resulting limited range of motion. I was pleased that he told me candidly that I had few good or easy options while telling me the odds of making progress with the remaining options. This was just what I needed to make the difficult decisions I face with my condition. We need more doctors willing to tell it like it is.

I am very happy that I visited Dr. Schena. He listened to my story, and decided on a combination of Cortizone and physical therapy for my knee, which has been in pain for over 7 months. I only wish that I had visited Dr. Schena first.

My knee is strong and takes me everywhere. We also discussed strengthening my hip to take stairs better. He recommended exercise on machines at the YMCA I attend regularly.

Dr. Schena is a very skilled and highly trained Orthopedic surgeon. He is very busy as he is team physician for the Boston Celtics. I will say as busy as he can be he never seems rushed and is always willing to explain and answer questions. I highly recommend Dr. Schena and his partners who may have different specialities.They have convient locations and staff is welcoming.
