Dr. Schena had excellent bedside manner. He thoroughly explained my injury, took his time, reviewed my radiology images with me and made thoughtful suggestions regarding next steps. I trusted his assessment and feel fortunate to have him as my doctor.

Dr Schena was a very good listener to my issues . Very detail explanations of what my condition is. Also great advice of muscle strengthening excercises for my knee . I would highly recommend Dr Schena to anyone in need.

Avoided surgery for as long as possible. Dr. Schena was straight forward about what recovery would take. Followed the protocol and the result 6 months out is astounding. Excellent surgeon!

I fell & injured my ankle. ER doc told me it was sprained. I felt it was broken as I could feel "bone-on-bone". I requested MRI but was told it wasn't needed. My company doctor referred me to Schena and within a few days I saw him. I explained that I thought it was broken, he abruptly told me it was sprained. I asked him if an MRI or CT scan might help in the diagnosis he gave me an attitude of "Don’t tell me how to do my job". With two doctors saying it was a sprain, I believed them. Dr Schena performed a full knee replacement on me last Thursday. I went home that day from the hospital, couldn’t be more pleased and it is only been 1 week. My incision looks amazing! I’ve done 4 sessions of home PT and can flex my knee to 98 degrees and almost a perfect extension. When I started home PT the day after surgery I was 70 degree bend and 12 degree extension. Dr Schena was amazing, and his staff at the Brighton office were all wonderful. I came to him for a second opinion on an ongoing injury and he was friendly, attentive, listening to everything I was saying, he did a thorough physical exam, he was super positive and didn't scare me, instead he told me everything he thought I needed to know and he took his time explaining things. My ankle is still killing today thanks to your ineptitude, failure to listen, refusal to order an MRI, and your misdiagnosis 12 years ago. Anyone who allows Dr. Anthony Schena to treat him/her is asking for a lifetime of pain in whatever joint is hurting.

Dr Schena is an exceptional orthopedic surgeon. I injured my knee and tore my ACL. Dr Schena confirmed my knee pain was being caused by my torn ACL by performing the Latchman pull test at his Brighton office. He ordered an MRI and the scans showed my torn ACL along with possible meniscus damage. Dr Schena explained the surgery as well as non surgery options. This guy is the worst. My ankle is killing today due to his misdiagnosis and refusal to give me an MRI. He said it was a sprain and had an attitude that I was being a baby about it. It turned out to be a fractured subtalar joint. Now there is pain every day as the injury healed incorrectly. Dr. Anthony Schena is a terrible doctor. Touts himself as “the Celtics doctor”. He should keep to treating them and leave the rest of us alone. Stay far away from this clown.
