I am very happy that I visited Dr. Schena. He listened to my story, and decided on a combination of Cortizone and physical therapy for my knee, which has been in pain for over 7 months. I only wish that I had visited Dr. Schena first.
I had my knee replaced one year ago and this was my appointment to evaluate how all was going. Dr. Schena looked at my x-rays then asked me to push against his hand to test my muscular strength. My knee is strong and takes me everywhere. We also discussed strengthening my hip to take stairs better. He recommended exercise on machines at the YMCA I attend regularly.
Dr. Schena is a very skilled and highly trained Orthopedic surgeon. He is very busy as he is team physician for the Boston Celtics. I will say as busy as he can be he never seems rushed and is always willing to explain and answer questions. I highly recommend Dr. Schena and his partners who may have different specialities.They have convient locations and staff is welcoming.
Dr. Schena was very personable. He listened and was able to make a quick diagnosis. I was very happy with my visit.

Dr. Schena is patient and will answer all your questions in a manner that you understand. He does not push you into surgery and let's you know of all options so that you are 100% comfortable with your decisions. I've been with him for 10 years and travel 2 hrs to see him as I trust him enough to say the trip is worth his expertise.
Dr. Schena is wonderful. His obvious expertise and skill along with kindness and concern made me immediately comfortable. He listens to your concerns and addresses them directly. I had a total knee replacement and couldn’t be happier after not really being able to walk. He gave me a new lease on life after my delaying surgery for way too long. Dr. Schena gets my full recommendation and I feel lucky to have the good fortune of being a patient of his. Thank you Dr. Schena.
