I got injured at work. Was sent to Schena by my company doctor. He refused to order an MRI for my ankle, which I knew was broken. I had to demand that he look at my XRays, which he did for literally one second. He told me it was a sprain. Ordered PT which made it worse. About five months later, I went to another guy who did an MRI that day. He said I had a fractured subtalar joint, but too much time passed to fix it. Easy check in. Pleasant staff - called into appt on time. Doctor was very friendly and pleasant. He showed MRI details on screen to explain the issues at hand. Thorough and detailed in his exam and explanation - spend time answering questions. Highly recommend Dr S.
Had surgery for a ruptured ACL And torn Meniscus. My recovery was much faster than expected because Dr. Schena did such a great job.
Dr Schena’s knowledge, kindness and ability to converse on a level that is appropriate to the individual patient was deeply appreciated. I would recommend him (and have) with out any hesitation.
I went to see Dr. Schena for a fractured patella after having two other surgeries on my knee by a doctor in Rhode Island. Dr. Schena was very professional and did a great job. I recently had some setbacks and I’m working with him to try to resolve them. He’s at the top of his game.
Dr. Schena and the staff are experts in their profession. From booking to feeling better, they are friendly, prompt and all important, do what they say they are going to do.
Dr Schena was awesome, never felt cortisone and he drained my knee had a lot of fluid, gave me great instructions. Highly recommend, also repaired both knees for my daughter! Truly the best!!
I had a consult with Dr. Schena, who replace two of my friend’s knees this year. I was delighted that he didn’t “push” knee replacement as a solution, instead saying it was always an option but there were other alternatives. Really appreciated that, as well as the care he took to explain the pros and cons of each option as well as any expenses involved. I feel like I walked away with a really good plan and a roadmap for the next few years. Huge relief!
