Its was such a great place too see, will go back again again
I went last Sunday, and parked on Lancaster and rode my bicycle in to the bike racks. It was chilly and, as advertised, very windy. Lots of people, driving and marching in. The attendants at the information office were super nice. The reserve is a wonder and I had the most fantastic time hiking, running the trail, taking pics and videos. Everything was perfect and beautiful. Please stay on the paths and everything will be all good!
With the beautiful bloom this year I arrived (before 9am) with no lines getting in. The trail directions were well thought out and very nice, taking me to the most dense concentrations of flowers. I will say that I was very disappointed in many idiots who walked off trail and into the fields, even with all of the "FRAGILE ENVIRONMENT STAY ON TAILS" signs posted. Absolutely beautiful. This was my first time going out to Antelope Valley and I had an amazing time. The poppies were amazing the views were amazing and I got a ton of great pictures. I would definitely recommend this and I will be going back again. I do recommend going very early to get good parking or park on the street and walk in, that's what I did.
It was beautiful. Very clean!!! We really had a blast
