The hikes are energizing, the views Heavenly, and the flowers praising of their Creator in beauty! I would pay to park inside the state park because after the long hike, you will be ready to drive, not walk more to get to your car. This was our first time and we would love to come again. Even if the flowers are not blooming, the sights of nature and the trails are lovely and not too strenuous. They are not easy, but very enjoyable. If you have an opportunity, go to see the poppy fields in Lancaster and enjoy a lovely hike!
It was beautiful. Very crowded on the weekend despite getting there early. Parked along Lancaster Road outside the park and just accessed the open fields. There were poppies everywhere
