Nestled in the Canton area of Baltimore,Annabel Lee Tavern is a local favorite named after a well known poem by the city's own Edgar Allen Poe. The cuisine is a level above the usual tavern fare, with mouth-watering dishes like the goat cheese fruit plate, pan seared duck breast, rosemary beef tenderloin gyro and a select number of gourmet desserts. According to some, the best part of their menu is the Poe themed cocktail list and variety of local brews. Whether you're coming here for a date with that special someone or just... read more

Annabel Lee has quickly and easily become my favorite eating and drinking spot in the Canton area. The duck-fat fries and crispy Brussels sprouts are out of this world, as are the crab cakes. That said, I fancy myself a chicken-salad connoisseur and must say that Annabel Lee most definitely offers the best chicken salad I have had in the entire Baltimore area. It, in fact, ranks second among the best I have ever had (the first being in my hometown, and it is hard to beat a hometown favorite). Do yourself a favor: Visit Annab... read more
I thought that because the tavern is themed that the food would be so-so. I was wrong. Entirely. Worth every penny. Great atmosphere, awesome staff, and honestly amazing food. Get the duck fries. Trust the hype.
amazing experience every time! five stars!!! every visit!
The best food and service. Whatever you order it’s fantastic. It’s a must !!!!!!!
The food, service and staff were top notch. Very happy my wife and I stopped in. I recommend it to anyone looking for good food and a friendly atmosphere. I won't hesitate to stop in again next time I'm in Baltimore.
It's been over a week since my boyfriend and I visited and I still can't stop thinking about our experience. We were in town for my graduation and wanted a special place to celebrate. I researched places in Baltimore extensively, since we're not from the area, and the eclectic menu is what drew me in. From the moment we stepped inside to the moment we left the night was nothing short of perfect! The food was absolutely incredible, the atmosphere was dark and moody, but the charisma and personality that both our waitress, Kri... read more
All around fantastic experience every time I go there. I've made special trips just to go there, and I'll do it again.
Amy and Christmas were delightful, as always, attentive and fun to talk with. The soft shell platter, soft shell sandwich, and steak and frites were all delicious. My niece also enjoyed the sour beer recommended by these two special women!
Going here is always a treat. The staff are always at their best. They act like they’re all owners - one of them is!
