We were devastated to learn that our rescue chihuahua,Red, had developed a perferated cornea. This required the eye to be removed. He is such a gentle and loving dog. It broke our hearts. The staff and Dr. Brookshire could not have been more supportive and kind. Paying for the surgery came at a difficult time. Dr Brookshire was more concerned about our dog than finances. The staff here are the nicest people in the world. So friendly and helpful. Dr. Brookshire was thorough and was able to determine that our puppy was not blind. She explained the situation so that we could understand and we left there very relieved and totally happy with the Animal Vision Center of Virginia. Even though we live an hour and a half away I would never go anywhere else.

The staff is always very warm and inviting. I have had several dogs treated by Dr. Brookshire and couldn’t be happier with the quality of care she provides. Maggie, Zoey, Gretta, and the many more to come thank you for all that you’ve done for them!
Dr. Brookshire and her team are amazing. Last year they saved our Johnny‘s left eye. Recently a very rapid infection pierced his right eye making removal necessary. At 16 + years his vision is limited but after the surgery his recovery was quick and he is doing well. Marty and Neil
The staff and Dr. Heather at Animal Vision Center of Virginia were wonderful in the treatment of our sweet Cloey. We brought her in for a detached retina issues due to her high blood pressure and kidney failure. They were always so attentive, helpful and affectionate. Our family is so grateful for everything they did to prolong our kitty's life. I would highly recommend Dr. Heather to any pet owner.
Dr. Heather and her staff are amazing. Dr. Heather is an expert and so gentle with her patients. Even with our wiggley Frenchie, Dr. Heather managed to get the medicine in her eyes and clear up her cornea ulcer. Thanks Dr. Heather!
Greeted with smiles and someone helped calm my dog down as soon as we walked in. His new vision problems have made him anxious in new settings and everyone was more than helpful with him. Dr. Brookshire answered every question I had and even followed up with me herself along with someone else from the office. I would recommend them to anyone having vision problems with their pets. I look forward to getting my Pups vision back and I don’t dread having to take him there. A Very calming and welcoming office!
