I’ve been seeing Dr. Vern’s for eight years. I will be forever grateful to him. I never once walked into an appointment with him not remembering our last appointment and my past appointments. He is not only an amazing doctor but he truly cares about the wellbeing of his patients. I was so broke and broken down I shamefully couldn’t afford my prescriptions that help me so much. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I think they could use more help at the front desk, as there is often one staff person dealing with many phone calls and patients coming in for their appointment. Dr. Verma is helpful, professional, and to the point. He cares about what he is doing and his profession.
Dr Anil Verma is always caring and makes sure to spend time with each of his patients. He is thourough and he puts his best effort forward for all of his patients.
The staff is rude and they do not provide you with punctuality of care that you need. I would not recommend this practice to someone in need. They do not fill prescriptions when needed and do not care if you are without. I have been a patient for the last two years since I moved to Syracuse and have been appalled at the treatment I received. I thought it was my fault, but am grateful to see others have had this problem too. I am looking for a new doctor.
After being a patient for a couple years, my psychiatrist still got my name wrong. The ladies at the front desk can be very rude at times when on the phone, as if we patients are a bother to them. There have been many mix ups with refilling my medication, and numerous times I have gone days or more than a week without. I travel an hour to the office, and often have to wait between 20 minutes and an hour to be seen. That aside, the two doctors that I did see were very nice.
Dr. Verma successfully helped me withdraw safely from a benzodiazepine when no other doctor could. He was thorough in the process and always gave me reassurance that I would get through it...and I did. He is very kind and compassionate and sincerely wants to help you. If you are having a moment of crisis, he will fit you in his schedule to talk with you and help you to see that it is not the end of the world. Thanks to Dr. Verma I am living again.
I would never recommend his office. I went there for about a year back in 2010. NOT ONCE.......did I see Dr Verma. I only saw an NP. She had me on 10 different meds. I was like a walking zombie per my family members. Whenever I hear his office I'm like.......OH NO.
MY LIFE SAVER: I came to see him about one year ago. I was at a verge of killing myself. I was full of anxiety, really bad depression, irritable, moody, miserable and Obsessive Compulsive. He spend about one hour with me at my first visit. Took time to explain me what I am going thru and 'why'. That first changed my life. He is so polite and understanding. Very knowledgeable.
