Giovanni Scorzo, chef and proprietor, was born in Calabria, and grew up in Liguria, in the Northwestern part of Italy. Like his mother, whose maiden name was Andreoli, he became a chef. Scorzo worked in a variety of Italian regions, Liguria, Tuscany and Calabria, until moving to the U.S. in 1985. RecommendedSaw the restaurant on Triple D and we were in Scottsdale for a visit so had to try. Delicious, very authentic, reasonably priced and filled with local repeat customers. The owner and family were all working and also out talking with their customers - most of whom they knew. The patrons may have liked the family, but the only reason they keep coming back is the amazing food!

The food is phenomenal. The deserts are out of this world, especially the chocolate mousse. The service cannot be beat. My absolute favorite place to eat when I am in town. Fantastic crew here!
