Giovanni Scorzo, chef and proprietor, was born in Calabria, and grew up in Liguria, in the Northwestern part of Italy. Like his mother, whose maiden name was Andreoli, he became a chef. Scorzo worked in a variety of Italian regions, Liguria, Tuscany and Calabria, until moving to the U.S. in 1985. The bread!! Its always the bread! Always grab a loaf when we order lunch (try the number 2) and literally chew slow so we don’t finish in a flash.
Don't listen to the people who rated this place poorly. Every aspect of this place is great, the food and atmosphere are A+. These haters are most likely Irish or Applebee's clientel.

This is my Favorite Italian restaurant to eat at! It’s hard to find true authentic family style Italian restaurants . This is such a warm , cozy and extremely welcoming family atmosphere. It’s family run which is the best. I’m literally here once a week and would come more if I could. There food is so amazing and they feel like family ...hard to find that these days. Andreolis is truly a special place they put a lot of love into there food and it’s noticeable. I wish I could give 100 stars love these people love the food... ... read more
Fair.....hey it’s AZ......pasta dish was served warm... not hot...service was fair.... expected better since Food Network rating was great. Won’t return.
It was my first time there and the canoli I had was sensational. I had the Costa Nostra meal and it was a home run!
