Giovanni Scorzo, chef and proprietor, was born in Calabria, and grew up in Liguria, in the Northwestern part of Italy. Like his mother, whose maiden name was Andreoli, he became a chef. Scorzo worked in a variety of Italian regions, Liguria, Tuscany and Calabria, until moving to the U.S. in 1985. Guy Fieri was right! Fabulous food
As close to East Coast Italian cuisine as you’ll find in AZ, along with a few other places!
Everything is made with detail and care. They have more daily specials than the regular menu! The staff was very informative and friendly. Great place. I look forward to returning many time. I can’t believe it took me so long to try it, after reading so many positive reviews over the years.
Saw that this was on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives, so we gave it a try we will definitely until we are old in age.

RecommendedThis a small almost family style place. Limited menu. Real Italian food, says a guy whose was just in Italy.

As a NY born and bred Italian who is here for the winter it was nice to find a place that had food like home.
