The staff and Doctors are wonderful. My Dr Neurosurgeon Dr. James Bales Did my Chiari Malformation Decompression Surgery in December 2019 at Providence Hospital in Anchorage and did excellent job. My care for everything is great. I have other neurosurgery things I get seen for I have congenital hydrocephalus which I was born with. my Dr. explains everything where I can understand it and he listens to you. Great local office here in Wasilla. Doctor explained problems in simple terms. Staff was friendly.
After my initial appointment with the providers at Anchorage Neurosurgical Associates an appointment was scheduled with a physical therapist who helped me understand my condition and she showed me helpful exercises! In coordination with the doctor and the therapist my worries were allayed and I have a better understanding as to what I can do to help myself.
I was treated great from the front ladies to the ladies doing BP and temperature and ladies doing history. Dr. Bales is great, very informative on what to expect after surgery. Fast times in the office, little wait time to see Doctor. In and out pretty fast.
They have very helpful and friendly office staff to begin with. My first visit wasn’t a good match but my second was with another provider with whom I felt was more engaged. I truly believe that all of their neurosurgeons are outstanding in their field, it was just a matter of not clicking with the first one I saw. Nonetheless, I respect him and would recommend anyone needing a consult regarding neurosurgery to seek an appointment with any of the neurosurgeons at this practice.
ANA was very professional, courteous and informative while dealing with us about an aneurysm. They took the time to answer questions and explained the procedure in detail. Dr. He is an amazing and talented surgeon.
