My first encounter with this doctor was stressful and he was extremely rude to myself and my son. He does not have any respect for your time. Myself and multiple people have waited over an hour to be seen and when he eventually sees you he has an attitude, it's like we are bothering him while we are here to see him and it's his job to take care of us. The second time I went to see him I again waited over an hour and decided to leave we told the front desk and their answer was a room is going to become available in 15 minutes... read more

Professional office, neat, clean, good furniture etc. Office Secretaries were pleasant, welcoming and sharing any information needed. They were smiling, warm personalities, understanding their job. Everyone was professional and demonstrated concern.Very good first visit experience. We left with renewed encouragement!

I attended Dr. Gilbert's office a few times, and at first it seemed fine. They were friendly and initially seemed to really be listening and wanting to help. Ordered some testing. It was after that that things went south. Test results came in and the MA was the one who read me the results and told me they'd prescribe medications-- at least I think it was the MA, the person didn't introduce themselves. When I was 'I don't want meds', then the doctor came in and told me it was the only option. When the meds increased my sympto... read more

This physician is someone you should keep your family away from. He quickly jumped to the conclusion of my family member having parkinsons and did not want to do further testing. If we listened to him my family member would be on meds for the rest of his life. We went to another physician and had testing done and my family member does not have parkinsons. Please keep your loved ones away from this man.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Gilbert and his team of doctors. While I see him for a neurology disorder, he is the first doctor to actually care about my health as a whole and treat me for other health related issues that other doctor's would just brush off.. I appreciate his approach on medication (start with small dose and go from there). I wish he could be my PCP.In the past, I have had long wait times for my appointments but that is because he was the only doctor in the office and takes his time with every pa... read more

After being diagnosed by Dr. Gilbert with “temporal lobe epilepsy”, I’ve spent the last 6 years as his patient being given 2 EEG’s annually and different meds. I recently began to feel uncomfortable about the numerous EEG’s which were all followed by a quick appointment with Dr.Gilbert saying the same thing each time that it looks better but still some abnormal activity. Despite the fact that I’d had no seizures at all after the very first one many years ago. I decided to get a second opinion from another neurologist, Dr. No... read more

Dr Gilbert comes to your exam with a pre determined opinion. He is defensive (cannot answer questions without being offended) arrogant, and angers quickly. He is dismissive of your pain, bullies other doctors and his patients. Im surprised that Beaumont allows him to “care” for patients at their hospital. I am an easy to please person and do not write reviews for anyone that is anything but exceptional… unfortunately, Dr, Gilbert is exceptionally unprofessional and inappropriate. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and s... read more

Very unprofessional doctor and office. I saw Dr. Gilbert at least five times over the course of a year. The wait time is always extremely long, and the appointment is rushed. The doctor doesn't seem to remember what was discussed at the previous appointment and what medications you're on. At my final appointment, I waited for 2 hours, and in the middle of our discussion, he took a call from the hospital and had a full conversation about a hospitalized patient right in front of me.
